Doesn't even receive power at all let alone does Windows see it. Very sad. Worked for all of 15 days and then died. Lost all my college school work too.
Easy to use. It's a reliable and handy product. No problems with it even to this day.
they are running XP, Vista, windows 7. When you try to do either the flash drive goes unresponsive and locks the computers up. look elsewhere and invest your money in a higher end product. this product has many system flaws. My PNY is going into the junk drawer of useless tools that I just can't seem to part with, but will not use again. I have three computers.
Sometimes the cheaper tool in the more expensive tool. As others have stated. Within weeks it became impossible to delete some files and add files. this problem happens on all three operating systems.
I think that's pretty excessive. So far so good. But loading this was SLOW. In other words, I wouldn't complain about it.If the slow loading is its only drawback, then I can live with that. The unit itself is quite sturdy -- my ScanDisks are much flimsier. I've had good success with this brand before, so hope that this will last for years and provide consistent service. I set up several Briefcases and although total data was less than 4 gigs (and no file was particularly large), it took about an hour.
Presumably, syncing should be less time consuming (as I don't typically change that many files between syncs). I needed something that would migrate between different OS and computers with ease and this one was one of the few that I could find that would accomodate Windows 7 62-bit as well as Windows XP. The end cap fits tightly and I can still attach it to the other end over the tether string. However, using it to access the files that I loaded seems to be at a relatively acceptable speed.
How could I rate it lesser than five stars. And the drier. Portable solid state storage options are plentiful and affordable these days. This is one of several similar pieces of USB and SD storage that sit in a container on my desk.Until today, there was little to differentiate one from another (except for the fact that the older ones with less storage cost much more than the new ones). Then I ran this one through the washer. Imagine my surprise when it worked as well as the day I took it out the box.
